(Sweet Potato Vine) Add bold color and dramatic texture to your containers and garden beds with Tri Color Sweet Potato Vine (Ipomoea batatas ‘Tricolor’). This eye-catching foliage plant features heart-shaped leaves splashed with shades of green, creamy white, and soft pink, creating a vibrant, multicolored display all season long. Its trailing habit makes it perfect for spilling over the edges of hanging baskets, window boxes, and patio containers, or for use as a colorful groundcover in sunny landscapes.
Tri Color Sweet Potato Vine thrives in full sun to part shade and grows 6–12 inches tall with vines spreading up to 36 inches or more. It prefers well-drained soil and regular watering to maintain its lush appearance. Heat tolerant and fast growing, it fills in quickly and adds instant impact to mixed plantings.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, this ornamental vine pairs beautifully with flowering annuals like petunias, calibrachoa, or begonias. Use it to add vibrant foliage contrast, texture, and season-long color to your garden designs.
For a bright chartreuse companion with a vigorous trailing habit, add Margarita sweet potato vine to containers, window boxes, or hanging baskets.
