Shadowland Giant Collection ‘Gigantosaurus’ Hosta

(Hosta) Make way for a giant in your garden! As the name clues you in, Hosta Shadowland® ‘Gigantosaurus’ is a massive new hosta in the Proven Winners® Shadowland® collection. This beauty stands up to 32 inches tall and spreads a whopping 78 inches across at maturity. Give it some time to reach its full potential, but make sure you leave enough room as it grows. The large leaves feature shades of blue with a wavy yellow margin. As the heat turns up, the yellow margin will fade to a creamy white. The thick foliage is heavily textured adding extra dimension to this plant. Early to mid-summer flower scapes adorned with light purple bell-shaped flowers appear just above the foliage of Hosta Shadowland® ‘Gigantosaurus’. Hardy in zones 3-9, ‘Gigantosaurus’ likes to be planted in full to part shade locations that have average to fertile soil. Water regularly for best performance. The tubular bell-shaped flowers are a welcome addition to hummingbirds. Hostas are popular in gardens and foundation plantings, they are easy to grow and require little maintenance. I bet you are thinking, ” Now I need to find a spot for this Gigantic beauty!” Hosta Shadowland® ‘Gigantosaurus’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
