A shorter and more disease-resistant Black-Eyed Susan, American Gold Rush adds cheerful color to perennial borders for months. The compact, upright plants grow 18-24 in. tall and are loaded with golden-yellow flowers with dark center discs from summer to fall. Pollinators love it! You’ll have plenty for cutting for indoor displays. This All-America Selections winner features thinner, hairier leaves than other rudbeckia varieties, making it more resistant to septoria leaf spot. For an impressive look, plant in masses. Deer tend to avoid. Grows best in full sun.
